Nyx mega shine lipglosses

Middle photo L-R: Natural, Smokey Look, Nude Pink, LaLa

Natural - Probably the most pigmented out of them all, Natural is a little too dark on my pale skin tone for me to totally agree with it. 10/10 for pigmentation though, I love it when lipglosses change the colour of your lips and are not just semi-opaque!

Smokey Look - Much more of a sheer finish than Natural. I would like this a whole lot more without the shimmer, works great over certain nude based lipsticks.

Nude Pink - Gorgeous colour, fair pigmentation. Sometimes on me this looks a little bit more bubblegum pink than a nude pink, but I think it's great and really makes my blue eyes pop. A gloss to just throw in your handbag and go!

LaLa - Perhaps my least favourite. Looks lovely in the tube but just coats your lips with a slight pink gloss and a bit of shimmer. I had a little play around and paired this with a slick of Mac's Baby Sparks, gives it the extra something something that it needed!

Note that all these lipglosses carry a strong, sherbet like smell, which you can also taste a little bit. I prefer as little scent as possible but would choose the sherbet smell over the god awful Nars one! As always Nyx is a brand I wish was a little more readily available in the UK. For now I buy all my Nyx products from Beautyjoint.
How do you feel about Nyx?

Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss

A cult product from Nars, Turkish Delight is probably most famous for being what Kim Kardashian pairs with Mac's Angel lipstick to acheive that perfect pout. To me, Nars packaging screams luxury, and with a price tag of £17.50 I would expect nothing less! It's really difficult to describe just how the packaging feels but if I could pick 2 words they would be smooth and velvety!

The gloss itself is highly pigmented, semi-sheer and I find it to be non-sticky. The colour is a beautiful milky pink, perhaps even too light and milky for me to wear it by itself, but LOVELY over lipsticks that compliment it. It's thick, creamy and sits incredibly well on my lips. The one thing I do dislike about it is the taste, it's rank! Many years ago I had a Bobbi Brown lipgloss, and I remember that tasted similar! I find that if you also put some of the gloss on the back of your hand and smell it, there is definetely a similar smell to the not so nice taste.

Smell/taste aside, I would definetely not cast this lipgloss away, and I wouldn't be surprised if I bought this again when I finish this tube. I dare say that in some ways I like Nars more than Mac! I feel instantly pampered just by looking at how beautiful the products and packaging are.

Things i've bought from Mac lately..

Just a typical shopping post to show a couple of things i've bought from Mac over the weeks, nothing too special, but you never know you may just see something you really love that you would like to buy for yourself!

Firstly Baby Sparks dazzleglass, a beautiful bubblegummy pink with flecks of glitter that the majority of the time look a gorgeous blue colour I always lean more to lipstick than lipgloss and shockingly this is my first dazzleglass! But i picked wisely because its absoloutly lovely.

Even though its winter now, i'm getting more and more in to bronzers as i go along! Now, i don't think Mac are too famous for their bronzers, infact im waiting for Nars Laguna to arrive which i feel like i've been waiting for forever, but since im on an adventure to find the perfect bronzer for me, i didn't think a Mac one would hurt. I got Mac bronzing powder in Solar Riche, it's a pretty golden brown with a slight hint of shimmer in it and it looks GORGEOUS on. I found that this teamed with a creamy golden highlighter (I used Topshops) gives a healthy golden glow, it makes you look really radiant, and this is coming from someone who is as white as a sheet!

Last of all, another one of my favourite Mac products, their lipsticks! I got Shy Girl, a peachy orange nude (Somewhere in that category hehe!) with a cremesheen finish! I wish i could say that there was a little more to this lipstick, don't get me wrong it is beautiful on but i'm still sort of a bit meh over it. It's not going to be a one that i take much pride in wearing (unlike my beautiful Myth!) Just something ill put in my bag and go with, depending on what colour makeup im wearing! I'm really sorry about the pictures of the lipstick too, my house is extremely poor for light and i'm not so sure that the pictures are true to its colour.

Thats it for now! I hope you enjoyed my little shopping post! For some reason i've really decided i don't like to use the word haul, i'm not sure why i just find it a little bit annoying and sort of..american?! I would love to you what everyone else has been buying lately, it takes me a couple of pictures or a video on an item for me to feel the need to rush out and get it myself!

SLEEK POUT PAINTS! ♥

Okay i know this is the second lip product post today, but mammy dearest just came home from town with these for me and im just too excited to keep them to myself! I know theres been a ton of blog posts about them but i thought i contribute my pictures and thoughts to the blogging world :)

The colours i got were "159 Port" (on the top) and "156 Peachy Keen"

So the first thing i did when i got them was squeeze a tiny little blob of each on to the back of my hand, i know a little goes a LONG way with these but i wanted there to be enough to get a good picture. From the swatches i had seen on the internet of peachy keen, i was in two minds about wether it would be a wearable shade, or wether it was one that you were supposed to mix. It did look very orangey on the back of my hand but ill let you be the judge of that! Port is beautiful! Just a gorgeous, deep plummy red, totally wearable alone, and i can already see tons of beautiful shades being created from it with other colours!
They have a very distinct smell about them, i cant quite put my finger on what it is! I think its quite pleasant though, the only word i can think to use to describe it is sweet! so no problem there!

Port is my favourite! So gorgeous!

Now one thing i did notice was when i took off the lid, the part where the product comes out of isnt shaped like your traditional lipgloss, which at once indicates that this is a product not intended to be used straight out of the tube! I cant stress enough how much you will need a lipbrush for these, its definetely not a lipgloss you grab and go to have a drunk night uptown with. Well i mean, since theyre calling it paint, its a dead giveaway that its gonna be a whole lot thicker and brighter than your usual slick of gloss across your lips.

Application straight from the tube = Hot mess!

Will anybody else be trying these out?! Im loving sleek so far!!

Things i ♥ : Dior Addict ultra gloss

Im going to start a series of posts where every now and again ill do a post on my favourite products or things i really enjoy using/use frequently. To start it off ive picked my favourite Lipglosses which are by Dior, "Dior Addict ultra gloss" I have a baby pink colour (Cashmere Pink) and a bright red (Little Red Dress) It doesnt take a lot of product to show up on your lips, the red is amazing. Usually i find that Glosses arent true to their colour, they either just go on clear or a very sheer version of what they look in the tube. I absoloutly adore Little Red Dress, it even looks lovely if you put a little bit of it over some red lipstick. Cashmere pink is more of a sheer colour, a lovely everyday gloss with a little bit of glamour added due to the immense sparkle that it has, and me loving all things sparkly/shiny/glittery, its a total win, i even think the packaging is beautiful! Ill definetely replace these glosses when theyre finished, and will probably ask for some more colours for christmas or just pick them up myself, Im a little confused about the whole "pearl" and "flash" labelling, i mean its probably to do with the finishes of the gloss but i cant see any difference between the glosses apart from the red being alot more opaque but meh, still love them :D

Top: #267 Cashmere Pink (Pearl)
Bottom: #856 Little Red Dress (Flash)

SO gorgeous when it catches the light!

If youre a lipgloss girl and your looking for a new go to lipgloss, try out these!
