Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss

A cult product from Nars, Turkish Delight is probably most famous for being what Kim Kardashian pairs with Mac's Angel lipstick to acheive that perfect pout. To me, Nars packaging screams luxury, and with a price tag of £17.50 I would expect nothing less! It's really difficult to describe just how the packaging feels but if I could pick 2 words they would be smooth and velvety!

The gloss itself is highly pigmented, semi-sheer and I find it to be non-sticky. The colour is a beautiful milky pink, perhaps even too light and milky for me to wear it by itself, but LOVELY over lipsticks that compliment it. It's thick, creamy and sits incredibly well on my lips. The one thing I do dislike about it is the taste, it's rank! Many years ago I had a Bobbi Brown lipgloss, and I remember that tasted similar! I find that if you also put some of the gloss on the back of your hand and smell it, there is definetely a similar smell to the not so nice taste.

Smell/taste aside, I would definetely not cast this lipgloss away, and I wouldn't be surprised if I bought this again when I finish this tube. I dare say that in some ways I like Nars more than Mac! I feel instantly pampered just by looking at how beautiful the products and packaging are.

Things i ♥ : NARS Copacabana illuminator

I think I'm illuminator/highlighter/whatever you want to call them crazy! I seem to have accumulated a few now, but my current favourite by far is this NARS copacabana one. It's a really beautiful silvery pink, very different to the gold based ones i usually pick. When i use a highlighter I'm generally tanned and looking for quite a sunkissed look, but i think this is gorgeous for a frosty look at this time of year. I'm going to put my hands up and say this is like, the first NARS product I've bought! I'll admit the prices have put me off in the past as it is a very expensive brand, but i think the packaging and everything about NARS just says luxury!

Out of a Laguna version, Orgasm, and Superorgasm (and Copacabana of course) I chose this because i also bought the Laguna bronzer when i bought this, and I'm actually sick of hearing things about NARS Orgasm, So i opted for something that i don't usually hear much about.

In comparison to other highlighters I own, this is incredibly thin and lightweight, but it still gives off such a lovely shimmer and stays put very well. You get an absoloute ton of product, and a little goes a very, very long way with this! Unless you totally pile this on, I don't see how it couldnt last you a really long time. This product cost me £21.50, and considering it's NARS which is generally more expensive than your usual brands, I would be quite happy to pay for another one of these. If you want a really lovely, decent illuminator that's not going to feel thick and greasy on your skin, I would totally go with this. I'm now even tempted to get the others so i can pick my favourite. Lovely!

November faves!

Well i know its about 2 or 3 days too early to be posting this but i thought what the hell, a couple of days isn't going to change products i've been using for 28 or so days now! Plus i'm going to be incredibly busy with cakes over the next week or two! So expect to be seeing a few cakes being uploaded by next week, I can't wait to share with you all. Without further chit chat, here are a few of this months favourites! Oh, and for any product i've ever swatched/posted about on my blog before, I've linked it next to the item description :).

St. Moriz instant tan mousse: The infamous alternative to St. Tropez! Being a total whitey all year round even in summer, having a tan in winter benefits me more because my freinds are less likely to have their lovely natural tans..and no im not jealous at all. Mabey a little.

Mac Bronzing powder in Solar Riche: The next best product which helps to acheive a healthy glow. Goes on lightly to begin with unlike some bronzers which leave a horrible orange streak, easily blended and buildable. One of my favourite bronzers. Link.

Barry M nail paint in Mushroom: My go to shade when i don't know what else to wear! Without a doubt one of the best polishes i have ever bought. I don't know why but i tend to be attracted to these ugly colours haha. I think its also perfect for this time of year!

Mac Lipstick in Hue: A gorgeous sheer pink nude. One of Macs most loved i think! Wearable for a pretty day time look, or pair with dramatic eyes. Link.

Nars Copacabana illuminator: One of the best highlighters/illuminators i've ever bought! I usually go for more gold based highlighters, but this is a really really light pink colour, which unfortunately doesn't show well on my camera, I think i need to collect all three of these from Nars! I'm going to do a separate post on this product.

Elf studio tickled pink blush: A lovely sheer pink blush. A must have if you want a suttle rosy glow. Link.

These were just a few products i've been using this month that i picked out to show you. Hope you have all had a lovely November and i guess my next favourites post will be in the new year! Extremely scary to think that.
